About DJ Draco

DJ-Draco (A.K.A. Ian) provides a first class DJ service for weddings and events of all sizes, including corporate events and parties.

Previously a professional wedding and event photographer, he understands the importance of your event and the need to create wonderful lasting memories.

Ian Says "swaping the camera for the DJ decks was an obvious natural progession for me due to the importance music has played throughout my whole life. My earliest memories involving putting vinyl records on the player and singing to them at home".

Booking a DJ ... things to consider

All Event Types

When booking a DJ, like most other things, a little preparations goes a long way. Some useful things to think about are:

What is the overall purpose of the event and what role do you want the DJ to play? For example, do you simply want background music to compliment a certain theme or subject, do you want want high energy or low energy music? Who will the audience be, what age groups or backgrounds will be attending. Are there any cultural restrictions to be aware of?

The role of the DJ can be varied, from simply the player of music through to narrator, compere or event master of ceremony. What do you expect of your DJ?

Does your chosen location have a PRS/PPL licence for playing music in public? This is the responsibility of the venue, not the DJ.

Does your DJ offer the services you require. Do they hold Public Liability Insurance (PLI)?

What restrictions does DJ Draco have?

DJ Draco provide a professional DJ service, as such will will work with you to understand your exact requirements to allow us to provide the service required.

We possess equipment to meet most requirements and we are fully insured.

We do however have a few restrictions to enable us to provide this level of service:

We will not provide services unless the venue hold the appropriate PPL/PRS licence.
We are only able to provide services where step-free access is available throughout the route from the unloading point to the DJ setup location, or where suitable ramps are provided. This is due to the level of equipment that we require to transport.
We will not provide our services for any event promoting or involving illegal activities.
We are unable to 'hold dates' until a cleared funds deposit is received.

Additional Information for Corporate Clients

We will always provide a contract prior to booking confirmation. We are also happy to provide suitable risk assessments for our services, should they be required.

We are happy to accept purchase order arrangements, subject to receipt of the agreed deposit before 'holding the date'.
